Massage techniques

  1. Tapping, brushing light massage of skin
  2. At the base of the skull along the inner and outer edges of the tendon that runs down the neck. Massage close to the skull pinching the tendon w/ thumb and fingers, rubbing etc.
    • Stimulates large intestine meridian
  3. About 1 – 2 inches below (on the back) from the top of the trapezius muscles (along the top of the shoulders) about in the center between neck and shoulders (find the tender point).
    • Stimulates lung meridian
  4. Bring together the “L” shape between the thumb and index finger, repeatedly hit them together. You can also rub this point on each hand separately.
    • Stimulates both lung (thumb) and Large intestines (index finger)
  5. About 1 – 2 inches above the elbow (feel for tender point). Outer edge of the top of the bicep, if muscle is face up.
  6. About 1-2 inches below knee, outer shin (feel for tender point)
